Teranex was founded to commercialize array processing technology originally developed within Lockheed Martin in the early 1980s. Initially developed via funding from various government and military organizations, over $200 million has been invested in the development of the array processors, hardware, software, development tools, and algorithms. From inception, 8 generations of array processing technology have been developed and 20 patents issued.

Leading Teranex in its next evolutionary step is a seasoned management, engineering, sales and marketing team gathered from the high tech industries. The team is focused on three Teranex objectives: (1) extending the Teranex leadership position into high-growth segments of the production, post and broadcast markets, (2) making Teranex the price/performance leader in the industry, and (3) driving the global adoption of Teranex array processing technology.

Teranex´s current generation of array processing technology and software will extend the company´s technical leadership position dramatically. These price/performance leading products, with superior quality, also provide the benefit of "future proofing" customers´ investments. The Teranex array-processing platform can be upgraded via software to meet the requirements of the ever-evolving digital media industry. This differentiates Teranex from the traditional box-per-function model that predominates the digital media equipment industry.
