Teranex's Phase 9 Software To Add 3D Toolkit and 2K Capability to 3D VC100s

Phase 9 software for the VC100 will include the new VC1-3DTK and VC1-3D-SYNC applications and other new features for the VC100 platform.

The VC1-3DTK application, controlled by a new PC control GUI, will correct typical alignment problems created by 3D camera rigs. The application can flip the right or left eye horizontally & vertically, adjust for Inter-Axial Distance (IAD) with separate horizontal and vertical adjustments, change the axial and toe-in rotation angles, zoom or crop and adjust video parameters to accurately match Right and Left eye camera streams. As an added benefit, the VC1-3DTK application will include all the features of VC1-3D-SYNC, used for synchronizing 3D streams, offering +/-1 Frame Synchronizing capability, frame rate conversion and the ability to reference the R/L eye signals to an external source or to the Left eye signal.

Other new features to be offered in the Phase 9 release:

• 2K Format Support for 2D to 3D Conversion - Allowing studios to turn 2D source material into 3D while maintaining 2K resolution
• Improved Down-conversion from HD Signals - New down sampling and anti-alias filtering with user adjustable settings
• Dolby D (AC3) Audio Support
• Advanced Audio Mapping & Duplication - Duplicate incoming channels to any output channel & map incoming channels, including decoded Dolby channels, to any output channel
