Pre/Post Compression Processing and Creating the Look of Film

Grain Insertion
Inserts simulated grain into the image. Controls allow for adjustment of the grain size and intensity individually for the three component channels.
Conversion Control
Controls the temporal aperture used to convert the interlaced video material to the respective progressive format. It will determine the amount of blur or judder introduced in the conversion process.

Detail Enhancement
Extracts hidden detail buried in the image using this edge-sharpening filter based on a traditional film compositing technique called “Unsharp Masking”.
Colorspace Conversion
Fully Automatic, but allows varying color primaries and luma equation for non-standard inputs and outputs.

Temporal Recursive Filter
Per-pixel motion adaptive, noise adaptive filter reduces random noise while avoiding the motion artifacts and softness that non-adaptive techniques can generate.
Brickwall Filter
Brickwall filtering allows precise control over bandwidth limiting prior to compression, enabling the encoder to provide more consistent results at low bit rates.

Mosquito Noise Reduction
Segments the image into edge and near-edge components and applies an adaptive filter to remove “busy-ness” around the edges of objects created by low bit-rate encoding.
