Up/Down/Cross Converter with Frame Synchronizer Application

Teranex's nexGear TXC-1000-SC is an Up/Down/Cross Converter application designed to run on the nexGear NPM-1000 Processing Module and provides high quality conversion between SD and HD formats, with Frame Synchronizing capability. This combined ability to convert and frame synchronize significantly reduces cost per channel.

Superior de-interlacing, cadence detection, directional adaptive scaling and adaptive detail enhancement provide exceptional conversion quality. Standard and custom aspect ratio conversions including AFD are provided, while "Active Fill" allows for insertion of background video into unused portions of the image.

The TXC-1000-SC handles all ancillary data such as 608/708 closed captions and time code and supports 16 channels or 4 groups of embedded audio, and can pass-through non-PCM audio data.

This software application has full video proc-amp control for adjustment of video gain, black level, hue, and saturation. The adjustable video legalizer ensures video signals conform within pre-defined "legal" ranges.
