Up Converter with Noise Reduction Application

Teranex's nexGear TUN-1000-SC is an Up Converter with Noise Reduction software application designed to run on the NPM-1000 Processing Module and provides high quality up conversion from SD to HD video formats. Advanced de-interlacing, automated cadence detection, directional adaptive scaling and adaptive detail enhancement provide superior conversion quality. Standard and custom aspect ratio conversion (including AFD) is provided, while "Active Fill" which allows for insertion of background video into unused portions of the image after aspect ratio conversion.

The integrated Video Noise Reducer removes random noise and DCT-based compression artifacts, such as mosquito noise and block artifacts.

The TUN-1000-SC supports processsing of ancillary data such as closed captions and time code with translation and supports 16 channels or 4 groups of synchronous audio, while also supporting pass-through of non-PCM audio data.
